Paul Okoye who now goes under the stage name 'Rudeboy' expressed his sadness over the ongoing squabbles and management crisis in the group lamenting the death of his parents who would have resolved the crisis in the new single, 'Call Heaven'.
Some parts of the lyrics are,
"Make somebody please call heaven, make I tell my mama say he don happen....oh Papa na that level wey I promised you say e no go happen"
"If to say una dey for everything wey dey happen today, e for be say we no go misbehave.... wherever you are, we no be who we were....cos if to say una dey for everything wey dey happen today, e for be say una go intervene...right now everything na pain, see your children dey misbehave".
Paul's twin, Peter Okoye has moved on with a new stage name Mr. P with new management and performed solo in Abuja last weekend and is set to perform solo in April in Dubai.
What Paul does not get from our opinion is that the breakup of the group rested with him. He chose his senior brother, Jude at the centre of the crisis over his own twin brother, Peter. Who does that????. While understanding loyalty to Jude to an outsider taking up the management of the group but if it is the only way the group was to stay together, Jude should have backed down, manage other artists and let the twins do their stuff.
Too bad it has come to this. We are really pissed off because Psquare represented the role model for success for twins in Nigeria. They were the visible twins. Others who are highly successful are either bankers, ex-bankers and are not in the public eye. Just look at the impression they have given. Before you know it twins who do quarrell (oh yes plenty of quarrells do happen) will think its okay to part ways.
